A few weekends ago we celebrated Alexa's first birthday party. (Important note: Mommy was very happy to have a practice party before Alexa's real birthday because she's having a hard time dealing with her baby turning 1!). She had a blast!!! Thank you to all her grandparents for giving her a 1st birthday to remember! We love you all very much!

bottle

Add bottle to our list of words we can say! Brian has been very insistent that it's not a "baba." And his work paid off, today I gave her a bottle and she asked me, "What is that?" I told her, "It's your bottle." And she said, "bottle!" Big girl!

so many words

Alexa has become rather chatty and has picked up a lot of new words, and she knows when to use them!

Alexa can say:

-mama
-dada
-Thank you (it sounds like taa too), she'll say this when you hand her a toy or she hears you say it!
-doggy
-uh-oh
-no (this sometimes includes a finger shake, and sometimes can go on for a while-- nononono!)
-hello (hewwo-- so cute!)
and last but not least...
-What is that? (She does this in new places especially and will point to what she's asking about...)

What a big girl at 11 months! We're still working on walking! She's taken about 4 steps on her own. She can do it, she just needs to be brave!
